Another Fantastic Big Quiz!

The much-anticipated Life Education Wessex 12th annual Big Quiz event took place on Thursday 7TH March 2019 at AFC Bournemouth, to raise vital funds to keep nearly 50,000 children safe, healthy and happy across our region.

With 32 teams battling for the coveted Big Quiz trophy, it was a real ‘nail biter’ of a finish!

Congratulations to the Winning Team ‘Ellis Jones’ (pictured below), who were crowned as the 2019 Big Quiz Champions, runners up 'Blandford Stour Rotary’ and 'Oodles of Googles' from Ceuta Healthcare in third place. Well Done!

We are delighted to advise that £10,638.43 was raised!

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the Big Quiz, to our sponsors, Ellis Jones Solicitors, Mazars LLP and Stackhouse Poland, to Nigel Hedges our Quiz master and to the sponsors of Quiz Rounds; Bellway Homes, The Venue Beauty Salon, Pure Wellness, Dutton Gregory, Humphries Kirk and Ward Goodman.

We couldn’t have managed without our Barclays volunteers, who totted up the scores, collected the quiz papers, sold raffle tickets, ‘Harold’ Cousins games and delicious donuts provided by Asda Bournemouth.

Thank you to Barclays for their match funding of money raised on the night, and also to those local companies who provided silent auction and raffle prizes which elicited a great response from everyone on the night and Ceuta Healthcare for printing the auction brochures and quiz papers.

Most importantly, we are most thankful to our fantastic teams, for their enthusiasm and generous support. Together, we can help to ensure that children are given the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to form positive attitudes that will enable them to lead safe, happy and healthy lives.

And here’s to next year’s 13th Big Quiz that will take place on Thursday 5th March 2020, do make a note in your diary.
