Jeanette McPhail
Chief Executive
Jeanette joined Life Education as a Community Fundraiser in 2003 after a career break to look after her two children; became Operations Manager in 2006, General Manager in 2011 and Chief Executive in 2016. As a parent and former school governor she is acutely aware of the dangers facing children and is committed to ensuring that as many children as possible across the Wessex region benefit from this vital part of their education. Previous experience in marketing, business management & development and working with all sectors of the business, local government and voluntary community has proved invaluable in her current role as Chief Executive.
Lorraine Hewitt
Fundraising Manager
Lorraine joined Life Education as Corporate Development Fundraiser in 2007 having worked for six years as an Events Manager of a large corporate company. As part of a European marketing team she was actively involved in Marketing and PR initiatives and has worked with several children’s charities. For over 20 years she worked within business development and client relations throughout Dorset and Hampshire gaining an excellent working knowledge of local businesses. Lorraine is passionate about her work with children’s health and wellbeing and is delighted to be able to contribute to such a worthwhile cause.
Lynn Clements
Operations & Fundraising Administrator
Lynn joined the Life Education team in 2010 following a 30-year career in International Banking which included 11 years in IT. Her role with us includes managing our IT needs which have been well served by the skills she acquired in her previous employment. She lives in Dorset with her husband and their dog Teddy.
Victoria Pattison
Operations & Fundraising Administrator for Thames Valley
Victoria joined Life Education Thames Valley as Operations Co-ordinator for the Thames Valley region in 2010, having previously worked for an international construction company in business development organising events, producing bids/submissions and regional newsletters. Roles prior to this included executive roles in PR agencies, and in editorial for a publishing company having trained as a journalist. As a parent of two young children Victoria is very aware of the issues facing primary school children, particularly with regards to health and well-being. She enjoys her role co-ordinating the many and varied aspects needed to assist Life Education see as many children as possible.
Malgorzata 'Maggie' Smith
Finance Officer
Maggie joined Life Education in 2013 as Finance officer. She is a qualified member of the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians). She has worked for various charities mainly dealing with educating children. Maggie has two children herself and is acutely aware of importance to protect young generation from bad influences. Originally from Poland, Maggie was brought up on a farm and completed agricultural college but chose to study Theory of Theatre for her degree at University of Lodz.
