As a father of two children myself and running a successful premier league football team, health and life Education is massively important to me.  Childhood obesity is proving to be a massive problem with the younger generation and it’s great that this charity is tackling these issues with children at a young age in our schools.  That’s why I support it 100%.

We all have an important part to play in the protection of children and they are being bombarded with lots of pressures and mixed messages on a daily basis. I believe that early intervention education is so important.   Life Education Wessex are carrying out amazing work with thousands of children in schools every year, empowering children to make positive health choices and this is why they have my full support.

I really value the work of this wonderful charity in trying to keep children safe and healthy.  Childhood obesity is a growing problem in our society with a 40 per cent increase in type 2 diabetes in the last four years amongst children and teenagers, it’s shocking!   Educating children about their bodies and the importance of a healthy balanced diet and exercise in their early years is vital to ensure that that they know what their bodies need and to encourage them to make healthy choices for life.  This charity deserves all our support.

I grew up in Bournemouth and have known about Life Education Wessex and their work with children for a while. They are an incredible organisation and the way they interact and communicate with kids is fantastic. Talking with children at this age about subjects such as lifestyle, the dangers of drugs and alcohol and the importance of physical health and well-being, can hopefully start a process of decision making and thinking that will help them for the rest of their lives.

As a mother of 2 children, I feel strongly about the stress put on young people these days, not only the additional day to day pressures of our current society, but also the pressures of social media. I am a great advocate for a healthy body equals a healthy mind and the Life Education Wessex & Thames Valley organisation is an extremely worthy cause I am proud to support. Sometimes, even as adults, we all need a bit of guidance in life, but starting that guidance young is the key to a much more fulfilling future.

I fully and wholeheartedly support Life Education, who do invaluable work in our community in an innovative way that children can relate to and understand.  In today’s society with all the pressures that present themselves, it is more important than ever to support our young people and equip them with the knowledge they need to help them navigate their way through life.  Educating our young generation of today, ultimately benefits us all in the future.

I first saw Life Education Wessex in action many years ago when visiting a school in my constituency when I was a Dorset MP.  Their work is hugely important in informing young people about issues around areas of health and relationship education that I have been trying to make statutory for some time.  Whilst teachers are having to narrow their focus it is important that Life Education continues to thrive to support teachers in giving children the rounded education they need.

Watching the Life Education teacher at work with every child enthralled, happy and learning I realised what this charity can achieve with just an hour with a child a year. The children remembered their lesson from the previous year and were excited to be back. They absorbed and retained important life lessons that would stay with them into their future and help them to make informed and healthy choices.  I am delighted to endorse the good work of Life Education Wessex.

I support what Life Education does to educate young people on how to look after their health and making sure they know the effects of drugs, alcohol and smoking on their bodies, so they can make informed healthy choices and look after their bodies as they get older.

I am very passionate about life education, as I found it wasn’t the academic side which most troubled me as I grew up, but it was the life decisions, often hard ones, which I had to make and which helped to shape the person I am today.  Life Education Wessex creates an incredible platform for children to learn important life lessons about growing up to be a healthy youngster – for some people this can be easy, but for many it is crucial that they know what choices are available and how lifestyle and healthy living decisions can affect them for the rest of their lives.

Educating our young people so they can make informed healthy choices, makes good sense and invests in their future. Why wait to they make mistakes, let them suffer and have to pick up the pieces. This is not moral and it's also a massive burden on the health service!

Life Education Wessex is a fantastic service provided by a dedicated, passionate team. The engaging programmes are delivered by fun, friendly professionals and the topics covered are crucial learning points, taught in an exciting, fresh way by the educators to really get the students thinking about the choices they make! Aside from the educational benefits, the time children spend with Life Ed is memorable, I vividly remember going through the programmes myself well over 10 years ago and urge the support to grow and develop so that children can continue to reap the benefits of this 5* service for generations to come!

Harold taught me it’s OK to be different and that being unique should be celebrated. I pursued my real interests without being worried or affected by other people’s thoughts and peer pressure to conform. I was able to recognise risky behaviour in myself and others, such as peer pressure and bullying which protected me from the harmful long term impacts they can have. I learnt how to make my own informed decisions and choices. Without Harold and Life Education there is no doubt that I would be a very different person than I am today.
