Over £23,500 raised at our Charity Golf Day at Woodbury Park Golf Club, Exeter
A huge THANK YOU to everyone that generously supported our Charity Golf Day at Woodbury Park Golf Club, Exeter on Friday 23 July 2021. To our wonderful teams who contributed so much to the success of the day and to our supporters who kindly donated prizes for the winning teams, fabulous raffle and auction lots.
Life Education rely very much on the generosity and support of the local community to help raise vital funds to support our work with Devon’s children. Thank you to the Lead Sponsors British Gypsum, Minster, Promat, Siniat, Knauf, CCF, SIG, Nevill Long and Thrifty, and to Heavitree Brewery who kindly donated the refreshments. A massive Thank You to lead sponsor CAP Ceilings & Partitions Ltd who also sponsored the ‘hole in one’ competition and for their valued sponsorship and support which enabled us to ensure that the day was a great fundraising success. Chris Bentley was a magnificent MC & Auctioneer who really entertained the guests and raised the bidding during the auction. We would also like to thank everyone who sponsored holes and contributed to the Auctions, Raffle and Prizes. Not forgetting our wonderful Volunteers, Gemma Retter, Dan Spencer, Andy Neilson, Fiona Lovell, Kelly Rice, Lynne Smith, Ashley Mansell, Kallie Davies, Peter Niblett, Jess Yates, Lucy Vass-Anderson, Bill Darke and Chris Penberthy and last but not least, Kevin Smith for all his hard work in securing prizes/setting up the day – we couldn’t have done it without you!
Congratulations to Staples Drylining (1), our Devon Charity Golf Day 2021 Champions, with runners up G C Army and in third place Staples Drylining (2). A huge well done to you all!

Well done also to Justin Crooker who won the 'Straightest Drive’, and Craig Newman, Chris Tripp, Dan Spencer, Ian Rowlands, Richard Virgin and Mark Crang our ‘Nearest the Pin’ winners. Not forgetting our Chipping Competition winner Gareth Morgan and Nearest the Gin winner Peter Jeffery.
A great day was had by all and most importantly with your support we managed to raise a massive £23,598.26!! We are most thankful to all the fantastic enthusiasm and generous support that went in to making the Golf Day a truly special event. Together, we can help to ensure that children are given the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to form positive attitudes that will enable them to lead safe, happy and healthy lives.
We are delighted to announce our next golf day will be held on Friday 29 July 2022 at Woodbury Park Golf Club – we look forward to welcoming you then!
