Over £22,000 raised at our Charity Golf Day at Woodbury Park Golf Club, Exeter

A huge THANK YOU to everyone that generously supported our Charity Golf Day at Woodbury Park Golf Club, Exeter on Thursday 16th June 2022. To our wonderful teams who contributed so much to the success of the day and to our supporters who kindly donated prizes for the winning teams, fabulous raffle, and auction lots.


Thank you to the Lead Sponsors British Gypsum and Knauf and major hole sponsors SIG, Nevill Long and CCF, and to Heavitree Brewery, TCAS, The Heart of Oak and the Passage House Inn, who kindly donated the refreshments.


A massive Thank You to our partner of the golf day CAP Ceilings & Partitions Ltd who also sponsored the ‘hole in one’ competition and for their valued sponsorship and support which enabled us to ensure that the day was a great fundraising success. Chris Bentley was a magnificent MC & Auctioneer who really entertained the guests and raised the bidding during the auction. Matt Le Tissier was superb and really contributed to the evening and thank you to Gary Milne our prof. We would also like to thank everyone who sponsored holes and contributed to the Auctions, Raffle and Prizes. Not forgetting our wonderful Volunteers, Gemma Retter, Dan Spencer, Paul Curgenven, Martin Buzza, Fiona Lovell, Wayne Moore and all the staff at CAP, and last but not least, Kevin Smith and Bill Darke for all their hard work in securing prizes/setting up the day – we couldn’t have done it without you!

Congratulations to Burnell & Newberry Roofing (The Wet Blankets), pictured left, our Devon Golf Day 2022 Champions, with runners up CCF and in third place TG Plumbing and Heating TGP). A huge well done to you all! Well done also to Dan Benyon who won ‘Beat the Pro’, to Dave Hazelden who won the ‘Straightest Drive’, and Kev Nicholson, Julian Philips, Martin Hobbs, Kevin Bond, Steve Henson, Dan Bullock, Jason Booker our ‘Nearest the Pin’ winners. Not forgetting our ‘Chipping Competition’ winner Jason Booker and our ‘Nearest the Champagne’ winner Nigel Harris.


A great day was had by all, and most importantly, with your support we managed to raise a massive


£22,475.65!


We are most thankful to all the fantastic enthusiasm and generous support that went in to making the Golf Day a truly special event.
