Another Fantastic Big Quiz!

The much-anticipated Life Education Wessex 13th annual Big Quiz event took place on Thursday 5th March 2020 at AFC Bournemouth, to raise vital funds to keep nearly 50,000 children safe, healthy and happy across our region.

With 32 teams battling for the coveted Big Quiz trophy, it was a really tense finish with just marks separating the teams. Congratulations to the Winning Team ‘Happy Birthday Tom’ from Ward Goodman - pictured below with Stuart Moroney, ITEC Sponsor (2nd from right) - who were crowned the 2020 Big Quiz Champions. with Runners up ‘Blandford Stour Rotary’ and ‘South Deep’ from Deep South Media coming in third place. Well Done!

We are delighted to advise that we raised a fantastic sum of just over £14,000. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the Big Quiz: ITEC our fabulous sponsors, Nigel Hedges our Quiz Master and the sponsors of Quiz Rounds; Catalyst Property Finance, Ward Goodman, Barclays, Ceuta, The Venue Beauty Salon, ITEC, Karlson and Crumbs.

We couldn’t have managed without our Barclays volunteers who totted up the scores, collected the quiz papers and sold raffle tickets. A huge thank you to Barclays for their match funding of money raised on the night.

Our Asda Volunteers were invaluable on the night ensuring smooth running of the evening, assisting with the sale of Harold’s and the raffle prizes.

Our thanks also to those local companies who provided silent auction and raffle prizes which elicited a great response from everyone on the night and Ceuta Healthcare for printing the auction brochures and quiz papers.

Most importantly, we are most thankful to our fantastic teams for their enthusiasm and generous support. Together, we can help to ensure that children are given the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to form positive attitudes that will enable them to lead safe, happy and healthy lives.
